Fused Deposition Modeling
This technology allows to create both aesthetic and functional prototypes with any geometry and an extremely accurate precision, but above all with the use of definitive materials.
FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology is the second most widespread in the field of Rapid Prototyping after stereolithography. The FDM machine builds prototypes through an extrusion process of a polymer filament material in the molten deposition state layer on layer, up to definition of the final object.
DIMENSIONI MACCHINE: up to 900x600x600mm

Skorpion Engineering has recently expanded its fleet with the new Fortus 900mc, innovative work centers capable of producing pieces up to 15% faster than the previous model. Among the novelties of this machine there is the possibility of making prototypes in ASA, a material that combines mechanical resistance and stability to UV rays with the best aesthetic quality that the FDM technology is able to offer
Soluble Core is a novelty proposed by Skorpion Engineering that uses new soluble material developed by Stratasys which allows you to create carbon parts even with complex geometries and cables inside them like the tubes you see in the below image. The process requires the carbon fiber to be wrapped around the soluble core. Once cured, the core is simply melted and the outer carbon part remains, which can be painted later on.
